Tattoo Wallpaper

One of the most fun projects ever was to be part of the creation of a tattoo wallpaper. Important was definitely to understand the sarcasm of the project because the client wanted it as handmade as possible. Different external Illustrators, my colleagues and I drew all the elements, built a pattern and put some Filters on top to create the tattoo effect.

Internship in Vienna or how I learned how to eat with chopsticks.

In the course of my education at the Higher Federal Technical College for Graphics and Communication Design in Linz, I had to collect experiences in two companies for at least 8 weeks. For my first internship, i wanted to be part of a graphic design agency as well as a creative studio in Vienna called das happy medium and luckily the talented graphic designers and artists there invited me to work on special projects with them, showed me how to illustrate on a graphic tablet and taught me that a great catering with delicious snacks is the most important part of a photo shooting.

The projects were a lot of fun because i had the freedom to be creative, to draw illustrations for and with my colleagues and to be part of the meetings as well as the „creative coffee breaks“. The tattoo wallpaper was a special request from a tattoo artist who wanted something unique to decorate his brand new tattoo studio in Vienna. In the end he liked the final result so much that he also decorated the wall in his bedroom with it. The whole internship was an adventure and definitely a learning for me because I not only gained knowledge of a big city life and the agency lifestyle but I also found new friends, got more independent and never had Pad Thai with a fork again.

Unfortunately the agency as it was doesn't exist anymore for reasons I don’t even know but my ex-colleagues are still creating beautiful artworks, meaningful posters and unique designs. It was great to be part of that for a summer.

My colleagues & mentors at that time were
@mayomaroevic and @ydvie
Their personalities and skills still inspire me.
