Honey is so much more than just a sweetener. It takes time, hard work and lots of little arms to be made. Therefore I created an outstanding label and produced and printed it on recycled foil with eco-friendly ink.
Oh Honey.

The German word Honig has a very old history and it has its origin in the Indo-germanic word for something made of gold. Honey is definitely one of the most complicated manufacturing processes in the animal kingdom because the amount of one glass of honey needs around 200 bees to make it. In Austria we have different sorts of honey and they all taste very differently. One of the most intense ones is called Waldhonig or forest honey, the sweet and flowery honey made from flowers and blossoms is called Blütenhonig and a creamy, very sweet version of that is called Cremehonig.
Honey is very easy to harvest for beekeeper and therefore it is often forgotten how much work and effort takes place behind it. That is why I was glad to create a label for an Austrian beekeeper of my hometown that includes all ingredients that are essential for all three different sorts of honey: flowers, honeydew, plants and trees. Also very important to me was that the label not only looks appealing but also the feeling of the foil needed a bit extravagance. I printed matte black eco UV-ink on a glossy white foil to not only create a visual contrast but also a haptic one - to make sure the hard work of all bees will be represented in a pretty label.
