Public Transport

Public transport is an affordable travel option, and I enjoy using trains, light rails, and buses. During a 2021 project with my classmates, we explored various transportation modes of the past 100 years. I immediately thought of horse-drawn carriages and created two versions to compare British and American light rails. It was so interesting to see not only the different designs and wheels of the horse busses and street cars but also to discover how different typography was used around the world.

Alcohol-based markers are fantastic for their vibrant colours and smooth application. They allow you to layer colours, much like watercolours, giving you depth and shading without losing the crispness of the lines. The ink blends easily, creating smooth transitions and a professional finish. Plus, they dry quickly and don’t smudge, making them perfect for both fine details and larger areas. The ability to build up layers with these markers offers flexibility, allowing for more control over your artwork.
